Scholarships

The Bi-State Literacy Council (BSLC) will award scholarships of up to $250 annually to students residing in the counties served by BSLC: Scott, Clinton and Muscatine in Iowa and Rock Island, Henry and Mercer in Illinois. 

The number of scholarships awarded and the exact amount of each scholarship is determined by the amount of funds available and the number of qualified applicants submitting requests. 

These scholarships are given to help continuing education students with tuition, books and materials, and living expenses.

Who qualifies?

Any adult who participates in Adult Basic Education, graduated from an organized alternative high school program, or completed GED classes or other Adult Education (Literacy) classes AND enrolls in a post-secondary training or education program qualifies for these scholarships.
