Giving Tuesday is a day of generosity that will globally take place on December 1, 2020. However, the Bi-State Literacy Council is celebrating Giving Tuesday this year through December 22, 2020. Give a donation and be entered into a weekly drawing to win a basket from one of our loyal supporters. The basket will be delivered to you curbside in the six counties we serve, so this could help make your holiday giving easy!
Cick here for pictures and descriptions of the baskets featured in our weekly drawings. If you plan to donate to be entered in a weekly drawing, please make sure your contact information is current in our mailing list so we can deliver your basket if you win.
The Bi-State Literacy Council had to cancel our primary fundraiser in 2020 due to the pandemic. The Giving Tuesday drawing features just some of the generous donations from our supporters that we were not able to raffle at our 2020 fundraiser. Giving Tuesday is more important than ever this year to ensure we can continue to support literacy providers in our six-county area. Libraries, educational institutions, not-for-profits and other literacy providers need our help more than ever.
No gift is too small! If you're interested in more than one basket, consider multiple weekly donations to be entered in multiple weekly drawings! Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. Please consider donating this year to ensure we can continue to provide grants and scholarships to worthy community organizations and individuals.
Our mission: leading the challenge to overcome illiteracy in all of its forms through advocacy, education, awareness, and empowerment.
About Giving Tuesday: Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Your support will help us serve our community.
Thank you for your generosity.
