The Bi-State Literacy Council is a coalition of business, labor, education, libraries, human services and concerned community members. Its purpose is to publicize the benefits of literacy programs and to support literacy services in the bi-state region comprising Henry, Mercer and Rock Island counties in Illinois, and Clinton, Muscatine and Scott counties in Iowa.

Quick facts about Bi-State Literacy Council

The Bi-State Literacy Council is celebrating its 20 th year in 2008.

It was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Iowa in 1988.

The Bi-State Literacy Council serves the six counties of Scott, Clinton and Muscatine counties in Iowa, and Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties in Illinois.
